This morning 2 mm of rain fell in Veraval in Gir-Somnath, 3 mm in Sutrapada and 2 mm in Vijayanagar of Sabarkantha.

Meghmaher has occurred in 70 talukas of the state in the last 24 hours. Besides, 2 mm of rain fell in Veraval in Gir-Somnath, 3 mm in Sutrapada and 2 mm in Vijayanagar of Sabarkantha this morning.

According to Manorama Mohanty, Director, Meteorological Department, South Gujarat is forecast to receive three days of heavy rains and Saurashtra today and tomorrow. South Gujarat is forecast to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in Navsari, Valsad and Daman, while Dang, Tapi and Surat are likely to receive heavy rainfall.

Heavy rain is expected in Jamnagar, Porbandar, Dwarka and Kutch in Saurashtra. Fishermen have been instructed not to plow the sea for two days due to heavy rains. On the other hand, light to moderate rains are also expected in North Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, 70 talukas of the state have received rainfall, while the state has received 20.09 per cent of the season's rainfall so far.
